What are SAP Calculations?
SAP is the Government’s Standard Assessment Procedure for Energy Rating of Dwellings. It is used to demonstrate compliance with Part L of Building Regulations, for dwellings in England and Wales.
When is an SAP Calculation required?
Design Stage – Building Control require a Design Stage SAP Calculation with the submission of your Building Regulations Application. Without the SAP Calculation compliance of Part L2 of the Building Regulations, Building Control will not allow the project to start on site.
As-built Stage – Building Control require an As-built Stage SAP Calculation and EPC when the building is completed. Without this paperwork it is unlikely that the building will achieve final Building Control approval.

- Full review of plans & specification and make any recommendations
- Complete the Design Stage SAP Calculation & provide guidance (if required).
- Complete the As Built SAP Calculation and EPCs (Energy Performance Certificate).
- Supply all documents to meet your project deadlines.
